A repeat client, Alston Construction originally built a warehouse facility for Valspar. Several years later, Valspar returned to Alston Construction to expand the facility to include paint manufacturing. The new 57,166-square-foot paint manufacturing project included a pop-up roof structure for Valspar’s processing equipment and a 2-story, 8,000-square-foot office area.
The project was very challenging due to the amount of process piping, tank farms, mixing equipment and conveying systems needed on-site, as well as a specialized tanker uploading facility. The numerous components demanded coordination among the many teams and suppliers involved in this project.
