Ashley at The Curve is a landmark retail and mixed-use development in Southwest Las Vegas that redefines how retail and industrial functions can coexist under one roof. Located along Clark County Road 215, this 229,573 SF facility brings together a flagship retail destination and a high-capacity distribution hub, creating a seamless environment for customer experience and supply chain performance. The project anchors Ashley Furniture’s largest showroom in North America, setting a new standard for home décor destinations in the region.
The primary goal of Ashley at The Curve was to create a modern, efficient, and customer-focused facility that integrates retail, fulfillment, and logistics operations. The building’s design supports this vision with 40-foot clear heights, thirty-two dock doors, two oversized drive-in doors, and a site designed for accessibility, including 310 car parking spaces, 67 trailer stalls, and 28 dock positions. Inside, the ground-floor showroom offers 53,604 SF of immersive retail vignettes, while the 82,011 SF second-floor mezzanine provides 43,960 SF of additional retail space supported by 38,051 SF of warehouse operations. The remaining warehouse connects directly to a 218,000 SF regional facility, enabling real-time inventory flow and streamlined fulfillment.
The success of the project stemmed from the collaborative efforts of Alston Construction’s project team, design partners, and Ashley’s operational leadership. Despite multiple constraints, the facility was delivered on time and within budget. The team overcame difficult soil conditions caused by dense caliche, which required extensive pre-trenching and large-scale equipment to allow subcontractors to excavate efficiently. Offsites and permanent power installation also posed major challenges, with the nearest feeder located two miles away in a heavily trafficked corridor. Through coordinated night work and a detailed installation strategy, power was delivered without impacting the project schedule.
Another significant challenge involved managing ongoing design changes. Over the course of construction, the team coordinated work across more than 16 plan sets, including seven full revisions, as Ashley adapted the design to meet evolving market demands. The project also required the warehouse to become operational well before the retail showroom, necessitating precise scheduling to accommodate Ashley’s business operations while construction continued on site. Through proactive communication and ongoing collaboration with all stakeholders, the team kept the project aligned with both the evolving design and the client’s operational goals.
Ashley at The Curve demonstrates the power of integrated design and collaborative project delivery. By combining a high-end retail experience with robust industrial capability, the project elevates Las Vegas as a home decor destination while showcasing Ashley’s commitment to innovation, customer service, and long-term growth.
