OGDEN, N.Y. – Acquest Development hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, July 27, 2026, marking the official start of construction on a new build-to-suit fulfillment center in Ogden, New York. Project partners and stakeholders gathered for the event, including representatives from Alston Construction, Acquest Development, and Axis Companies (AoR). Attendees commemorated the milestone with ceremonial shovels and hard hats.
The facility will be a 250,904 SF single-story industrial building constructed with insulated precast concrete load-bearing wall panels, steel column and truss framing, and a roof system of purlins and decking. Alston Construction is proud to serve as general contractor for the project. The building will also include supporting office space, break rooms, and employee amenities.
Designed to support a product sortation and delivery operation running 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the site will accommodate associate passenger vehicles, 53-foot tractor trailers, and personal vehicles used by contract delivery drivers. The site plan includes 14 loading dock doors, one drive-in door, and a traffic pattern designed to support efficient site operations. The facility will also feature a robotic sortation field enclosed by perimeter fencing, with employee workstations positioned along its exterior and access gates reserved for maintenance personnel.
Alston Construction looks forward to continuing its collaboration with Acquest Development, Axis, and its trade partners throughout construction, with completion anticipated for Q3 2027.
