HOU8 Wins Project Excellence Award – ENR Texas & Louisiana’s 2022 Best Projects Winners Revealed

HOU8 Wins Project Excellence Award - ENR Texas & Louisiana's 2022 Best Projects Winners Revealed

Alston Construction Houston Business Unit wins Project Excellence award for HOU8 in Missouri City.

After a month of hard work, an independent panel of experts from all corners of the AEC industry reviewed a total of 94 projects and selected 17 Best Projects and 17 Awards of Merit across 18 categories. As always, to avoid conflicts of interest, our judges did not score any categories in which their firms submitted entries, and if they had any involvement with a project, they abstained from scoring.

A big thanks go to this year’s panel of expert judges:

Dana Birkes, chief marketing officer, SGA Design Group
Dedra A. Ecklund, project manager, Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc.
David Helveston, president, Pelican Chapter, Associated Builders and Contractors
Sarina Landers, BD/operations, Karsten Interior Services
Natalie Pagano, marketing and communication director, Manhattan Construction Group
Meloni Raney, president and CEO, TEXO
Thomas Sofranko, associate dean, College of Art + Design, Louisiana State University

Judging is still in progress for the annual Excellence in Safety and Excellence in Sustainability contests—be on the lookout for those results in the coming week.

All winning project teams — as well as our Owner of the Year, Design Firm of the Year, Contractor of the Year, Specialty Contractor of the Year and Legacy Award winner — will be celebrated in Houston on Oct. 13 at the InterContinental Houston – Medical Center.

Congratulations to this year’s winners, listed below by category
