One of the most unique projects Alston Construction has ever built, the Winters Creek Lodge at Mount Rose is a modern building with dramatic ceilings, steel beams and striking glass façade.
As the jewel of the Mount Rose Ski Park in Lake Tahoe, California, the project was not without its challenges. The owner had a very tight schedule to get the project up and running during the 2010 ski season. At an elevation of more than 8,200 feet, moving equipment up a mountain in winter posed a different challenge each day. To complete the project on schedule, Alston Construction took an unorthodox approach, shrink wrapping the entire building to complete the interior finishes while the building was still under construction.
In the face of numerous weather delays and countless challenges, the project is slated for an on-time delivery.
