Alston Construction was contracted to build a new 78,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, warehouse and office for Southwest (CTI) Beanmakers, a supplier of refried beans to nationwide Taco Bell franchises. The new facility cooks and dries more than 250,000 pounds of pinto beans each day.
In addition to traditional manufacturing components, the project included a process mezzanine, cook deck, flow-rack warehouse storage and packaging area. The entire project is concrete tilt-wall construction and features sloped drain floors that comply with strict USDA specifications for a food manufacturing facility.
